Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ expert proficiency with patient accounting utilizing HIS systems including EPIC Resolute, McKesson Paragon, GE Centricity, Siemens Sorian or Invision, MediTech MAGIC, etc. - Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4 year program (or equivalent years of experience) - OAS knowledge plus. - IT liaison for Central Business Office – analyze business needs/perform tasks/communicate feedback to management and user leads. - Business Office support experience required. - Must have advanced knowledge of Ad-hoc reporting tool. - Candidate must have proven problem solving, analytical, communication, customer service, leadership skills. - Will be expected to manage multiple projects at various levels of complexity. - Troubleshoot reported issues, find solutions to and present recommendations to IT and CBO management - Analyze and revise existing system logic as needed. - Support team effort in automating business and technical processes

A national healthcare information systems and management consulting firm currently has openings for an Epic Certified Orders Consultant. Candidate must be currently Epic Certified. This position offers a competitive salary and complete benefits. My client is a virtual company, so relocation isn't necessary. However, consultants do extensive travel each week to the client facility. Travel is required for Monday - Thursday, home on Thursday evenings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years hospital operational experience in a clinical capacity, preferably an RN with HOD & Order Transmittal experience as well. - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Associates Degree minimum. -Possesses comprehensive knowledge of inpatient clinical environment and hospital operations, procedures/functions and the relationships between them. - Exhibits solid knowledge of the clinician workflows and ordering practices – including physicians and ancillary departments. - Demonstrates the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with the project team, and key clinical stakeholders, including physicians. Works closely and collaboratively with other project team members and clinical leaders. - Participates and sometimes facilitates building, planning and problem solving discussions with project teams, clinicians, and leadership. - Facilitates development of integrated workflows working closely with the rest of the project team, subject matter experts and technical leads to define processes that cross applications and functional areas. - Displays a solid understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions. - Displays a solid knowledge and skill set for Epic system build/trouble shooting. - Provides regular status updates to project lead/manager. - Demonstrates solid organizational skills. - Approaches problems constructively by focusing on how to move the project forward. - Collaborates to seek resolution of system design conflicts for points of integration and communicates risk implications to team lead/project manager. - Possesses strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, written and oral. - Demonstrates the ability to adapt to project changes related to scope, schedule, workflow, and system utilization. - Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations. - Familiar with HIPAA, JCAHO and other regulations that impact hospitals, and clinics. - Safeguards protected health information from any intentional or unintentional disclosure in compliance with applicable rules and regulations. - Demonstrates awareness and familiarity with Meaningful Use requirements. - Travel is required.
